MoMonto-Mori is a series that started in 2018. The series is based on an urge to engage in form study, as this study has progressed, the work has acquired a deeper context for me. Making the series was no longer about the study of form, but about the study of my being.

The progression within the pieces follows emotions and experiences that I undergo during the periods in which they were created. Making glass is a personal experience for me, a moment in which you enter into a dialogue with the material. The work I make is therefore often a personal part of my life and carries a part of me. This has been the main reason for me to make my focus within my work also related to my person.

The works in this series are often melancholic and approach a feeling of gloom with a cynical undertone. the name MoMonto-Mori, derived from the Memento-Mori, refers to getting to know myself and making peace with it. At times I portray this through a deer, if it is a naive experience, on the other hand a bull if it concerns a strong or defined experience. The images within this series symbolize myself in the mistakes or virtues that I experience in my life during these periods.
